The golden hour is my favorite time of day, when the last beams of sunlight are low on the horizon and the angle of light changes dramatically. The world seems to be bathed in a warm glow, translucent leaves illuminated, trichomes (plant hair) glowing. Prairie grasses are especially beautiful and my favorite subjects. And I love spider webs; the angle of the light creates tiny prisms of each thread in bright glowing colors. It lasts only a few minutes, but it is dramatic. I have to be quick to capture it!
